Bouncing Screen, also known as a ballistic screener, is specialized equipment used for waste sorting, predominantly in the recycling industry, particularly for the preliminary classification of mixed waste. The design of this screening machine is based on the physical properties of different materials, including size, density, shape, and sortability, effectively separating various components of waste through these characteristics.

Working Principle: 

The bouncing screen operates by driving the screening deck with an eccentric shaft to perform complex movements, typically involving vertical and horizontal vibrations. As waste passes through the screening deck, different types of materials exhibit distinct behaviors:

· 3D Materials (such as plastic bottles, wood, metal cans, etc.), due to their shape and density, tend to roll on the screen and bounce because of collisions with the deck, ultimately settling in the lower area of the screen.

· 2D Materials (such as films, paper, cardboard, etc.), being flatter and lighter, travel further along the screen. According to their unique properties, these materials ascend to the top area of the screen at varying speeds.

· Fine Materials (like sand, food residues, etc.) pass through the screen openings, falling into the collection zone below. By adjusting the angle of the screen deck and the vibration frequency, the efficiency and purity of material separation can be controlled, optimizing the recovery rate of specific materials.
