RDF fuel rods turn waste into treasure

1).RDF fuel rods are usually referred to as refuse derived fuel (RDF). They are combustible materials extracted from domestic garbage or other wastes, and are usually used to replace traditional fossil fuels such as coal.

2).How it works

1.Raw material selection: The production of RDF begins with the collection and sorting of municipal solid waste (MSW) or other organic waste, such as non-biodegradable materials such as paper, plastic, wood, etc.

2.Pretreatment: After sorting, these materials are broken into small pieces and metals, glass and other substances that are not suitable for combustion are removed.

3.Forming: The processed materials can be compressed into pellets, blocks or rods, which are called RDF fuel rods.

4.Combustion: These fuel rods can be burned in specially designed incinerators to generate heat energy for power generation or heating.

1.Reducing landfill: By converting waste into energy, the amount of waste that needs to be landfilled is reduced, easing the pressure on waste disposal.

2.Environmentally friendly: Compared with direct incineration of untreated garbage, RDF burns cleaner and emits less pollutants.

4.Economic benefits: For manufacturers, using RDF as an energy source can reduce operating costs and may receive government subsidies or tax incentives.

1.Energy production: RDF can be used in power plants to generate electricity to supply the grid.

2.Industrial heating: In industrial processes, RDF can be used as boiler fuel to provide the heat required for the process.

3.District heating: In some areas, the heat energy generated by the combustion of RDF can also be used in central heating systems.

4.Cement production: In the cement industry, RDF can replace some traditional fuels and be used as fuel in kilns.
