Air drum separator:

The working principle of the air drum separator is mainly to use air as a medium and to separate solid waste by precisely controlling the airflow. The core is based on the density and particle size differences between different materials. Under the action of the airflow, lighter materials will be carried up by the airflow or transported farther horizontally, while heavier materials will settle because the rising airflow cannot support their weight, or move a shorter distance horizontally due to inertia.

1.Airflow generation: The equipment is usually equipped with a centrifugal fan or similar airflow generating device to create the necessary updraft or horizontal airflow.

2.Material supply: Solid waste is evenly fed into the sorting area through a belt conveyor or other feeding device.

3.Sorting chamber design: The wind sorter is designed with specific airflow channels and separation areas inside, which can be a horizontal airflow air sorter (horizontal) or an updraft airflow sorter (vertical). In these areas, the speed and direction of the airflow are carefully designed to optimize the sorting effect.

4.Material separation: Light materials (such as paper, plastic, fabric, etc.) are greatly affected by the airflow and are carried to the upper or far end of the equipment and collected through the light material outlet. Heavy materials (such as glass, metal fragments, etc.) are not easily carried away by the airflow due to their high density, and will settle to the bottom or side of the equipment and be output through the heavy material conveyor.

5.Airflow control technology: Advanced wind sorters use complex airflow control technology, such as a positive and negative pressure interlaced airflow environment, to improve sorting efficiency and accuracy.

6.Multi-stage sorting: For situations where higher sorting accuracy is required, multiple sorting stages may be set up, with each stage further separating materials in different density ranges.

As an efficient solid waste treatment technology, wind separator has the following significant advantages:

5.Good sorting effect: It is especially effective for sorting light materials such as paper, plastics, etc., which helps to improve the quality of recycled items.
