1). Introduction to Air Separator
The air separator is for the separation of light and heavy material. The wind sifter provides effective protection for following shredders and guarantees a high quality separation of heavy materials. Air separators are used in a wide variety of working areas. These include, among others, alternative fuel production, waste processing, the timber industry etc.The air separator acts as a safety measure during the subsequent re-shredding of the input material. In this way, high costs for replacement and wearing parts for re-shredding can be avoided. Moreover, the quality of the fuels is optimized by using the air separator.
2). How does an air separator work?
Positive-and-negative pressure air sorter is widely applied for solid waste treatment and resources recycling. In developed European and American countries, air sorter is indispensable for solid waste treatment and resources recycling. This kind of air sorter takes advantage of aerodynamics principle to separate light and tiny matters from heavy matters under the combined action of controllable positive airflow and negative airflow. Light matters would be blown upside or forward into the setting chamber, where the same would be discharged from light matters conveyor; while heavy matters, which can not be blown upside or forward, would drop down to the heavy matter conveyor, where the same were discharged from.
3). Application Scope of Air Separator
1.Solid Waste, including Building (Decoration) waste, fresh household waste, stale household waste
2.RDF/SRF
3.Light Materials, including household waste, wood block, stone, glass, plastic, and so on.
